Now in his 17th year in radio, Len is currently the National Director of Market Development for Clear Channel Radio News
and Traffic. In addition to travelling to open up new markets, Len remains active on-air doing some freelance reporting
and commercial endorsements.
Prior to his current role with Clear Channel Radio, Len worked for Westwood One/Shadow Broadcast Services in San Francisco
as a news and traffic anchor, Director of Operations, and finally as General Manager.
Len has worked on-camera and on-mic for various tv and radio stations in the Bay Area including KPIX-TV, KRON-TV, KCBS-AM,
KSFO-AM, KYA-FM, KNEW-AM, KABL-AM, KKSF-FM, and KIOI-FM. In 1993, he won a RTNDA award as part of the KSFO news team,
where he was "Red Baron", the flying traffic man on the Gene Nelson Morning Show.
Len is an avid sports fan, and began his career broadcasting minor league baseball games in the California League and
handling producer and on-air duties for San Jose State University, where he teamed with current A's radio announcer Ken
Korach.
Len knew he would be in radio when he was 5 years-old. His Aunt bought him a sing-a-long radio for Christmas in 1972, and
he loved how his voice magically came thru the speaker on the front of the radio.
"I am fortunate to have worked with so many true radio legends. To chat in the hall or share a cup of coffee and a few
stories and laughs with guys like Jim Lange, Carter B. Smith, Don Bleu, and Ron Lyons almost everyday is a total hoot.
They have no idea how much they inspired me."
